Castleford’s former police station has sold at auction for £192,000 today (Tuesday).

The Jessop Street building - which includes a courtroom and holding cells - closed last April when the town’s neighbourhood policing team (NPT) moved into premises on Beancroft Road, alongside the town’s firefighters.

It sold at an Pugh and Company auction at Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium this afternoon.

A spokeswoman for the company confirmed the sale today but would not confirm the buyer.
