Primary school education in the Wakefield district came under fire from Ofsted recently, prompting a local company to step in and do its bit to help improve things.

Sandal man Adam Pugh has donated thousands of free planners to schools across the district through his not-for-profit organisation Free School Planners.

The ‘homework diaries’ are designed to boost home to school communication and contain lots of useful information on things like bullying and internet safety, as well as activities based around literacy and numeracy skills.
