A long-serving Castleford Marks & Spencer employee celebrated 25 years with the company by attending a champagne reception in London.
Lee Wright started work at the M&S store at Castleford in in 1989.
Along with 106 other long-serving colleagues from across the UK, Lee was invited by Marks & Spencer chief executive Marc Bolland to attend a champagne reception at the retailer’s London headquarters before enjoying a West End show.
Lee said: “I’ve always loved my job and it’s fantastic to mark my anniversary and share stories with so many other long-serving M&S colleagues from across the country.
“The trip to London was pure indulgence and a lovely way to celebrate 25 years.”
Lee was one of 92 employees celebrating 25 years’ service but there were also 14 staff who attended the event to celebrate 40 years with Marks & Spencer.
With the help of an exhibition set up by the company archive in Leeds, all of them were able to reminisce about their early days with M&S.
