New sports facilities have been unveiled in Kippax.
The playing field site on Church Lane now includes two modern changing rooms, two rooms for officials and a new kitchenette.
Kippax and Methley Coun Keith Wakefield said: “We’ve got some fantastic rugby clubs in the local area who deliver vital sports opportunities for hundreds of young people.
“It’s organisations like these which provide a really positive activity for people to access in their free time and it’s important that we deliver the best possible facilities for them to use.
“I’m delighted that with the valuable support of our partners we’ve been able to deliver what is a fantastic new unit.
“You could see from those young people present at the opening that this is going to be a very popular asset in the community.”
Leeds City Council has partnered with the Football Foundation, the Rugby Football League and Hesco Bastion in the project.
