Planned closure of Wakefield library

Wakefield Library will be temporarily closed on Saturday May 28 because of essential maintenance work to the council's computer network.

The work will affect systems such as the book scanners, telephones, printers and wi-fi services, so a decision has been made not to open the library that day.

Coun Les Shaw, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Sport at Wakefield Council, said: “This is essential maintenance work and I am sorry if this causes any disruption or inconvenience to library users. We will be open as normal on Tuesday May 31.”
