Knottingley landlord Paul Wood has opened a petting zoo at his pub.

Mr Wood, who runs the Steampacket Inn, created The Funny Farm in the play area behind the pub on Racca Green.

The free zoo has free range chickens, guinea pigs and rabbits and he also hopes to open an aviary for youngsters to enjoy in the near future.

Mr Wood, 46, said: “It’s proving to be a great success, apart from the chickens sitting on my pool table.”

He is pictured with one of his rabbits, Dumpling. p308a424
