Pond dipping has got underway again at RSPB Fairburn Ings nature reserve.
The reserve has a custom built platform for pond dipping and also provides kits which include all visitors need to delve into the depths of the reserve’s ponds and pools.
Beki Williams, visitor officer, said: “Pond dipping is a really popular family activity. We provide all the kit, and for RSPB members it’s free.”
The RSPB asks that visitors only use the equipment available at the reserve.
Pond dipping is taking place every day between 9am and 5pm.
It costs £2 per kit (including a net, bowl and ID sheet) for non-RSPB members and is free for RSPB members.
