Teachers at Carleton Community High School are calling for former pupils and staff to share their memories as the school celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The school, formerly Pontefract Boys’ Secondary Modern School, will mark the anniversary with a concert this summer.
An unsolved arson attack destroyed almost half the school in 2008 and a lot of its archives were lost.
Hellen Bolton, headteacher, said: “We lost a lot of archive pictures and documents in the fire but would like to gather memories from students and staff to celebrate the anniversary.”
“We want anyone who has any photographs, memories or quirky stories to get in touch.
The concert will take place on Saturday, July 12 and there will be an open afternoon on Friday, July 11.
If you have any material you think the school would be interested in, email Miss Bolton at email@example.com
