SLIDESHOW: Crowds flock to model railway show

Waiting for Video...

Model railway enthusiasts flocked to Pontefract last weekend for a very special show.

Normanton and Pontefract Railway Modellers Society held its 45th annual show at the town’s NEW College featured everything from more than 16 fully working layouts from various eras.

The society was formed in 1965 in Altofts, with about ten members. At that time, most of the members worked, or wanted to work, on the railways or were retired railway men.
