Top music acts such as The Beatles, Freddie Mercury and Rod Stewart were spotted in Darrington this week – as the village held its annual scarecrow festival.
The event, which was the third to be held in the village, saw scarecrows fill 30 gardens across the village.
Top of the pops were the Glass Caves – a local band from Darrington – who created scarecrows of themselves performing.
Gail Jenkins, who works in the village store and helps organise the event, said: “It’s been a really good festival and been very popular again.
“It’s only the third year we’ve done it but it was great to see so many people in the village.”
