Youngsters at Darrington CE Primary School learned how to stay safe and also raised more than £850 for the NSPCC with a week of special events.
Children had visits from the police and NSPCC along with assemblies, workshops and lessons.
Subjects covered included pedestrian training, online safety and anti-bullying, and the school council helped to carry out a pupil safety questionnaire.
Lyndsay Mason, headteacher, said: “It was very important to us to ensure that all pupils understood very clearly what consitutes unsafe situations and are highly aware of how to keep themselves and others safe in different situations.”
The week ended with children taking part in the NSPCC’s buddy workout fundraiser, raising more than £850, which was presented to Gwen Shackleton from the charity in a celebration assembly.
