People can show their support for the armed forces at a special fun day and entertainment event at Nostell Priory.
The Armed Forces Day event, organised by Wakefield Council in conjunction with the National Trust-run stately home, will take place on Sunday, June 22.
It will run from 10am to 4pm and entertainment will include the Royal Signals White Helmets stunt motorcyclists and a Spitfire static display.
There will also be a farmers market,a falconry display, a craft fair, The Ravens parachute display, a climbing wall and an inflatable obstacle course.
Last year, more than 8,000 people enjoyed the Armed Forces Day event and showed their support for serving and veteran forces members and their families.
Coun Sandra Pickin, Wakefield Council’s armed forces champion, said: “Public support for the event has been overwhelming and it’s fantastic that people want to pay tribute to the armed forces in this way.”
There will be a flag raising ceremony to start the event at 10am.
Admission is free but there is a £3 charge for parking.
