Daredevil Ella Moxon will jump out of a plane to raise charity cash.

Miss Moxon, of Garrison Court, Pontefract, will take part in a tandem skydive at Hibaldstow Airfield, Lincolnshire, on Saturday, April 26.

She has already raised more than £420 in aid of the Prince of Wales Hospice through sponsorship and by selling raffle tickets.

Local businesses have donated a number of prizes to support Miss Moxon, who is a medical secretary at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield.

The 28-year-old has already taken part in a number of other fundraisers for the hospice, including two cyclothons and a Starlight walk.

She said: “A few of my dad’s friends have received help from the hospice and it is literally just down the road from my house.

“I wanted to do something to support the charity.

“I am quite adventurous - I have already done a zipwire because I really like that sort of thing. That is why I decided to sign up for a skydive. I am a little nervous about the jump but I am mostly excited.

“I just want to raise as much money as I can really. I’d also like to thank staff at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust at Pinderfields for their support, family and friends for their sponsorship and everyone who has donated prizes.”
