Allotment holders have been put on alert after tools and equipment were stolen from plots in Castleford.
Police said plots at the Redhill Avenue site were broken into overnight on Saturday into Sunday morning.
Sgt John Rogerson, of the Castleford neighbourhood policing team, said: “We have received two reports of people having their allotments broken into.
“The locks had been cut and they have just taken whatever they could – mainly gardening tools and equipment. I would urge anyone who has any information to get in touch with us.”
Anyone with any information or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area on Saturday night or Sunday morning is asked to contact Castleford NPT on 101.
Sgt Rogerson also urged anyone who has had their allotment broken into to call them or email email@example.com or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
