Performances from military bands, an inflatable assault course and a parachute display will be among the attractions at a free event to mark Armed Forces Week.
Wakefield Council has organised the event, which will be attended by military personnel and councillors, at Nostell Priory from 10am on Sunday, June 22.
There will also be a display by the White Helmets motorcycle team, a farmers’ market, a craft fair, a spitfire static display, a climbing wall and a falconry display.
Coun Sandra Pickin, the council’s Armed Forces champion, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Armed Forces Week again this year with a spectacular free family event at Nostell Priory. The day is part of our ongoing campaign to honour and support service families and to help service personnel settle back into civilian life.
“We are proud to be hosting this event and hope many people come along to enjoy these events and show their support for our Armed Forces - past, present and future.”
