Four months of hard work paid off for pupils at Carleton Community High School, Pontefract, when they staged their production of Jungle Fantasy.
Hundreds crammed into the school for two performances of the play last week.
Students also put on two performances for local primary school children.
Lynda Ross, co-ordinator of performing arts, said: “It went really well. We held auditions last September and they have been rehearsing since January.
“We had 50 children who performed in the show and there were more than 100 youngsters involved if you include all of the other off-stage roles.”
Some of the youngsters were able to use the production toward their GCSEs.
