Thousands of women took part in this year’s Race for Life in Thornes Park.
Whether it was in memory of a sister, a brother, a friend, a child or a mother, it seemed that most of the 2,000 people involved in the Race for Life had been affected by Cancer.
The race brings together people from all walks of life who want to raise money to ‘beat cancer sooner’ by running, jogging or walking in the 5k or 10k event.
For the full report and picture special, see this week’s Wakefield Express.
Don’t forget that Race for Life is coming to Pontefract Racecourse on Sunday July 20.
The closing date to enter Pontefract’s Race for Life is midnight on Friday July 18.
