Ackton crash fire drama

TWO men were rescued from a smoking car after a road crash near Featherstone earlier this morning (Thursday June 26).

A passing motorist pulled the pair from the car, which caught fire following the crash involving a Ford Focus and Renault Megane on Common Side Lane at Ackton just after 5.30am.

A third man in a second car was also injured. All three were taken to Pinderfields Hospital.

Fire crews from Featherstone Fire Station attended the scene and extinguished the blazing car. The scene was still being cleared earlier this morning.

Anyone with information about the accident should call West Yorkshire Police on 101.
