VINTAGE cars, craft marquees and live bands are set to wow the crowds at an Ackworth group’s fundraising day.

The Riding for the Disabled group will host the event on September 29 at Hundhill Hall in East Hardwick to help meet the group’s running costs.

Karen Bullock, group chairman, said: “Our yearly outgoings are thousands of pounds so it’s important to constantly think ahead with fundraising events to keep the group open.

“Money is so tight every year with vets bills and hay prices, but the event isn’t just for fundraising.

“We cover such a wide area so it’s important for families that we have events like these and also to raise awareness for our community groups as well.”

The event runs from 1pm until 10pm, with live bands from 5pm. Free stalls are available to community groups wanting to promote their work and craft tables are available for £20 from 1pm to 5pm.

Contact Mrs Bullock on 07932 495547 for more information.
