A NEW clerk has been appointed at Featherstone Town Council.
Sue Crouch took up the position this week following the departure of former clerk Graham Wilson.
Ms Crouch accepted the role after leaving her position of eight years as town clerk with Brackley Town Council in Northamptonshire.
She said: “I was delighted to accept the appointment to the post of Featherstone Town Council clerk which has enabled me to move to Yorkshire to be closer to my daughter and her family.
“I am looking forward to establishing my home in Featherstone and being part of the community.”
Mr Wilson, 65, came to Featherstone Town Council in 2010 to guide it through “difficult times.”
He said: “I’ve very much enjoyed working with the town council and the situation there is very different in comparison to two years ago.
“The council is now in a good position to move forward and I wish Sue every success.”
