Lock Lane under 15s made it two wins from two games by beating Hull Dockers 22-4.

Lane’s defence was again magnificent. They have conceded just four points in their first two matches after beating Headingley Hawks 52-0 the previous week.

Dockers scored first but Lane dominated the rest of the game. Full-back Keanu Bean bagged their first try that opposition coach’s MOM Billy Marsh goaled.

Lewis Vickers, Josh Raby, Arif Burcak and Lucas Moon ran strongly and Jacob Bryon, Vaughan Larkin, Ben Dawson and Will Buttery put in big hits.

Marsh scored Lane’s second try to put them 10-4 up at half-time. Taylor Cartwright and Joe Herczeg were solid throughout.

Lane shot further ahead when Ryan Wood stormed over the line, carrying three defenders with him, and Marsh converted.

Nathan Goodrich showed great determination in his first match for 18 months.

Arif Burcak scored Lane’s final try that Bailey O’Conner improved.

O’Conner and Jacob Wolford worked well together while Kier Rothwell, Will Tucker and Jack Cope made strong contributions.

Herczeg won Lane’s MOM award. Cartwright was second and Wood third.

Cutsyke Raiders under 16s came out on top 24-10 against derby rivals Featherstone Lions in their second Yorkshire Junior League game of the season.

Cutsyke’s Jack Firth scored two tries and Lucas Sutton also grabbed a try and kicked a conversion.

The Raiders scorers also included Callum Bratt.

James Allen won Cutsyke’s man of the match award.
