Magical tale of Cinderella brought to life

SOAP stars have taken to the stage to bring the magical tale of Cinderella to life at Theatre Royal Wakefield.

This year’s panto opened to sell-out crowd on Wednesday.

Chris Hannon, who has appeared in Coronation Street, returns to the theatre for the third year running playing ugly sister Chardonnay.

Her sister Lambrini is played by James Parkes who has recently toured with Europe’s leading all male Shakespeare company, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men.

The production is being directed by Jill Myers, who has appeared in Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

She also plays a baddie in the panto which runs until January 13.
