A MAN has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a road traffic collision in Castleford.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed a 44-year-old male cyclist was involved in a collision with a Hyundai vehicle this morning.
The accident occurred on Fryston Road at the junction with Elizabeth Drive just after 11am.
Officers from Castleford neighbourhood policing team have closed the junction and are diverting traffic.
The cyclist was taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
