Caterers in Wakefield can keep up to date with the latest food trends in a new kitchen, bar and deli launched by Bidvest Foodservice.

The brand has opened up the four-room customer experience centre to promote the wide range of products and services it offers to food outlets such as hotels, restaurants, cafes and schools.

The facility features a bar, a deli with a view of the depot team live at work, a contemporary kitchen and the non-food catering suite.

The kitchen will be used to advertise products and keep customers up to date with the latest food trends, inspiring them with new innovative ideas and techniques used by chefs.

The bar will serve up Bidvest’s ViVAS beers, wines and spirits brand in a real bar environment while, in the deli, customers will find a demonstration area where they can try the company’s foods and new products, from Christmas finger foods to snacking foods to luxurious cakes and frozen desserts.

The non-food catering suite will exhibit all of the other products available to customers such as cleaning solutions to kitchen equipment, tableware to catering appliances.

General manager Martin Cook said: “Within the Customer Experience Centre, the key message of excellent service will manifest itself through the products we display and the equipment we champion.
