CREATIVE residents from Featherstone and Knottingley designed pieces of art representing friendship in the community.
Artists Karen Logan and Patrick Murphy held art taster sessions as part of a Wakefield Art House Project – called Sites in Sight Artist in Residence – on Monday.
Patrick Murphy – who held his session at Featherstone’s Wentworth House Community Centre – said: “It went really, we had lots of different activities including bracelet making and cup painting, allowing residents to create gifts for each other which made them think about what friendship in the community means to them.
“The project starts in January with four different sessions which will explore art in the community and finish with my own project being created in Priory Park.”
The project starts on January 8 with sessions at Wentworth House Community Centre, Wentworth Road, and at Warwick Community Group, 9a Pinewood Place, Knottingley, with Karen Logan.
