Three printing presses and rare footwear worth thousands of pounds have been swiped from a business in Whitwood.

Thieves broke into commercial premises on Whitwood Enterprise Park between July 29 and July 30 and stole valuable stock overnight.

West Yorkshire Police believe a Transit-van sized vehicle would have been used due to the scale of the raid.

Some of the items are particularly rare, including Matador High Sievi boots and Sievi Auto safety shoes, and not often sold through high street retailers.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses and urging anyone offered work footwear for sale to contact DC Aidy Cowan at Wakefield CID using the non emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
