RUGBY-mad bikers revved up to raise cash for Featherstone Rovers’ youth development programme.
Seven members of the Bradley Arms Bikers’ Club embarked on a trip from Land’s End to John O’Groats to boost the coffers of the scheme, which supports emerging talent.
Graham Cardwell, landlord of the North Featherstone pub, said: “We go out on rides most weekends, but we got talking and thought it’d be a good idea to do something to raise money for the club. We’re Featherstone Rovers mad – we’ve got photos and scarves on display, so the club means a lot to us.
“We decided to go on a ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats, but we’ve actually done the trip twice because we started and finished in Featherstone. We travelled more than 1,800 miles over six days. It’s been a challenge but we’ve had a great time.”
The group – also including Barry Burton, Bill Hamley, Sarah Hamley, Paul Pearson, David Lee and Neil Longley – is still collecting cash and welcomes new members.
