LOCK Lane in Castleford has re-opened to motorists following earlier flooding.
Roads at the flooding hotpot were submerged in a metre of water after the banks of the River Aire burst this morning (January 5).
Barnsdale Road remains closed and diversions are in place.
Castleford’s outdoor market was cancelled today due to dangerous, flying debris caused by strong winds.
Wakefield Council confirmed the Carlton Street site is due to re-open tomorrow and will continue to monitor the situation.
