A life size metal reindeer created by an amateur Castleford sculptor will form part of a dazzling festive display in Featherstone.
The reindeer – sculpted by Steve Williamson – will be on show at a Christmas lights display held at the home of Jon and Jennifer Sharpe, which draws hundreds of visitors from across Yorkshire every year.
Mr Williamson, 52, said: “I’m really happy with the finished piece.
“It’s taken me about 100 hours of work to do it but Jon is really happy with it.
Mr and Mrs Sharpe have raised thousands of pounds for Pontefract’s Prince of Wales Hospice with their display of more than 30,000 Christmas lights over the last six years.
Semi-retired electrical engineer Mr Sharpe, 73, spent three weeks setting up this year’s display.
The house, trees, driveway, and pond will all twinkle into life alongside animated reindeer and penguins.
The illuminated house is at 7 Dales, Featherstone Lane, North Featherstone, WF7 6AH.
