Residents are being encouraged to say thanks to their top council worker.

Wakefield Council is asking people to nominate their favourite authority employee as part of an annual Pride Awards event.

To enter, describe in up to 500 words what difference the team or individual has made.

Joanne Roney, chief executive of the council, said: “The Pride Awards are an opportunity for us to say thank you to our employees for all their hard work and recognise those members of staff who have gone above and beyond.”

Forms are available from council buildings, www.wake
field.gov.uk or by emailing pri
deawards@wakefield.gov.uk.

Forms should be returned by July 5 to Pride Awards, Freepost NEA5394, Room 6, Town Hall, Wood Street, Wakefield WF1 2BR.
