A PONTEFRACT blogger and author is celebrating the release of her third book.
Samantha Lin, 34, launched her semi-autobiographical romance novel, My Little Black Book, at party in Pontefract’s Alley C’zam cafe bar last week.
Miss Lin, of Skinner Lane, said the story centred around the life and times of journalist Empusa Sun who writes articles to help fellow singletons find ‘the one’ while embarking on the same quest herself.
She added: “I was writing some articles online and getting good responses so I decided to tie them into a story. It’s slightly like Bridget Jones’ Diary but ruder.
“I’m qualified in counselling so it’s got an analysis of relationships and what goes on in our heads.
“The best way to describe it is that it’s about a young woman on a mission to find ‘the one’ but takes it too far, so she doesn’t realise when the right one comes along.”
Miss Lin began writing in 2006 and already has two gothic horror and romance novels under her belt.
She said: “The launch party went really well, it was fantastic. There was a good turnout.”
My Little Black Book is set to hit bookshops, Amazon and Kindle, in three weeks’ time.
It can be bought in the meantime from www.samanthalin.com priced £9.99.
