Strongmen from across the country will return to South Elmsall in April in a bid to be crowned the four nations masters team event champions.

Teams of three strongmen will compete in various events at Frickley Athletic FC, which hosted the Yorkshire’s Strongest Man contest last year.

The event, organised by Hulk’s Strongman Division, will include a dead lift, farmer’s walk, tug of war and atlas stones.

This year’s contest will be refereed by former strongman Stuart Murray and television presenter Matt Bell will be doing a video on the day.

Those taking part are told be invitation only and the contenders are yet to be announced.

The event will take place at Frickley Athletic’s ground on Westfield Lane in South Elmsall on Sunday, April 5.

The gates open at 11am and the competition starts at noon.

Tickets cost £5 and are available on the day at the ground.

There will be a bar and refreshments available plus stalls promoting supplements.
