Creative students at NEW College have helped to rebrand Pontefract Family Centre’s logo and made promotional videos for the centre’s website.
The newly-designed logo, letterheads and business cards were unveiled during a celebration at the Harropwell Lane centre this week.
The college has been working with the centre since April as part of work experience creating media products for a real client.
The students have edited promotional videos which will be on the centre’s website and on a TV screen in the building’s new cafe.
Brendon Fletcher, assistant principal at New College, said: “This project has provided an exciting opportunity for both our students and the users of the Pontefract Family Centre.
“Nothing supports our students better than the chance to put into practice the skills they have developed in the classroom.
“We are proud of the quality of work our students have produced and hope it has helped to support an excellent local charity.
“We are really grateful to the staff and service users of the Pontefract Family Centre.”
The students have also designed posters and tickets for the family centre’s show, Stars in Your Eyes, which takes place on Friday, September 19. Tickets are available from the centre.
Geoff Hunton, centre manager, said: “The rebranding is absolutely fantastic.
“We were planning to do it this year anyway but it has been a godsend to have the help of the students.
“We are extremely grateful to the college and its students for all their help.
“It has been great for us but also great experience for them.”
