CASTLEFORD Tigers’ stars are urging fans to put their best foot forward and tackle the club’s first Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile.

Rugby-mad residents of all ages can chose to run one, three or six miles through the Super League side’s Wheldon Road stadium to boost the coffers of the annual appeal on Saturday March 25.

Alex Green, Castleford Tigers and Tigers’ Trust community manager, said: “From teeny tots with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up against the clock, there’s something for everyone on the big day.

“What’s more, to encourage participation we will be offering the first 100 race participants a complimentary ticket to that afternoon’s Castleford Tigers fixture against Hull FC.

“This is the first Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile at the club and is set to be a great event. So come on, pull your Sport Relief socks up, enter the mile and do something amazing.”

The entry fee is £6 for adults, £3 for under 16s and £15 for a family of two adults and two children. To take part, visit www.sportrelief.com, call the entry hotline on 0300 123 5070 or pick up an entry form at the Tigers’ shop in Carlton Lanes shopping centre and state you are running for the RFL.
