A PICTURE-PERFECT Pontefract youngster has set her sights on the finals of a national beauty pageant but she needs the support of Five Towns’ residents to get her onto the catwalk.

Jade Allan, 13, of Sandhill Rise – who was talent-scouted at The Clothes Show in Birmingham in December and taken for a professional photo shoot in London – has made it through to the semi-final of Teen Princess UK’s online contest.

The Carleton Community High School pupil is up against 49 other hopefuls in the two-week heat – including Castleford teen Kirsty Brook – and the two contestants with the highest number of text votes will go through to the final in September.

Jade’s dad Peter Allan said: “Jade is so excited to be in the last stage of the competition and I know she would be absolutely thrilled to go to London for the final.

“We are really proud of her and she has always been interested in doing some form of modelling so this would be the perfect way in.

“I just want her to have the opportunity to do something like this because it could open so many doors for her.

“There are only a few days left to vote and Jade would really appreciate any help and support she could get being a local Pontefract girl.”

Voting for the Teen Princess heat – for girls aged between 13 and 15-years-old – closes on Wednesday February 29 at 11.30pm.
