Revellers were treated to a “feast” of junior rugby at Castleford Tigers’ annual gala.
Tigers Together, the club’s charitable arm, raised £4,000 from the sports extravaganza last weekend.
Organiser say the event was a “great success” with youngsters wowing the crowds on the field.
Kevin Lloyd, chairman of the group, said: “It was a fantastic day, everyone joined in with the fun. We were treated to a feast of junior rugby – the quality of rugby on show was of the highest order and was played in tremendous spirit and sporting behaviour.
“Well done to all players and coaches for playing such attractive rugby.”
Kippax Welfare under eights were one of the teams to win the Jack Fulton “fair play” trophy.
Attractions on the day included a barbecue, inflatable rides and an assault course, with the day rounded off with a game of adult rugby.
Mr Lloyd added: “It was nice to see so many people down supporting the event, joining in the fun and enjoying the facilities and attractions.”
