Time is running out to vote for your community heroes.

Nominees for the annual WDH’s ‘Love Where You Live’ awards have already racked up more than 4,000 votes between them.

But there’s still time to help decide who takes home the coveted prize.

Those in the running include Featherstone and District War Memorial Group for their dedication to the town’s war memorial, young achiever Josh Salmons from South Kirkby and the Outdoor Action for Kids Forest School’s work in South Kirkby.

Sarah Chatham, resident involvement manager for WDH, said: “The response this years has been phenomenal and shows how important the public think it is to recognise the invaluable work of residents.

“Voting in some categories is so tight that a few more votes this week will have a big say on who wins, so I would encourage the nominees to get their friends and family to have one last push at voting.”
