Darrington singer Kelly Mueller’s dream has come true after music fans from across the globe helped her release her debut album.
The talented 27-year-old singer/songwriter was previously signed by international label Universal Records.
She has spent time in Los Angeles and London working on projects with the likes of Ne-Yo and The Script but her own album failed to materialise.
After three years with Universal, Kelly, whose stage name is Kell on Urth, decided to go it alone and, thanks to donations from across the globe, she can now release her first album Illuminate.
Having recorded the tracks in her studio at her home in Darrington, she raised almost half of the £2,300 needed to fund its release.
She also set up an account on the crowd funding website Kickstarter where music fans from all over the world pledged their support.
Kelly said: “I am absolutely delighted and would like to thank everyone who has supported me.
“It can all go ahead now and any extra funds I get can get can go towards getting it on iTunes and promoting it even further.”
Kelly’s use of the Kickstarter website, where people fund entrepreneurial projects in exchange for rewards, meant that she had to raise the £2,300 money before Sunday.
A large donation from a fan in New York meant she reached her fundraising goal last Thursday.
