SOME months ago a letter published here elicited several interesting responses to my project on Brotherton’s WW1 Heroes concerning the fallen from the 1914-18 conflict.
I am still seeking information on these men and am also willing to share my research.
As part of this ongoing research I have also been looking at those who served and survived’. Among these was Percy Murgatroyd whose daughter Minnie Melbourne had daughters with married names of Green, Burton, Britton and Bailey.
If anyone recognises a family connection I would be pleased to share information with them.
Among other survivors I am researching are four Bailiff brothers, Edward Burrows, Arthur Grace, John Matthew Greenwood, George Richard Jackson, Edward Monkman, Mark Terry, and Arthur Walters. Others may follow.
Anyone with an interest in the subject can contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org
