PAINTINGS will be on show in Pontefract town centre next week when St Giles' Church holds its third annual art exhibition.
The event, organised by the church to raise money for its refurbishment appeal, takes place on April 11-13. Past exhibitions have drawn works by artists from across the region and all the paintings on display are for sale.

As well as an exhibition of paintings, three local artists – David Newbould, Derrick Hall and Ron Clough – have donated works to be raffled to help swell the appeal.

The exhibition is open at St Giles’ on Friday April 11 between 9am and 3pm, Saturday April 12 from 9am to 4pm and Sunday April 13 from 11.30am to 3pm. Admission is free.
