PONTEFRACT'S NEW College has officially signed up to the Healthy College Standard.
Kate Birch, a healthy college consultant, visited NEW College to sign it up to the standard, which covers areas like healthy eating, mental wellbeing, alcohol and drug awareness and staff wellbeing.

NEW College is already working towards the standard, which was set up in Kirklees in 2001 and has been adopted by colleges around the country.

Kate, who wrote the Kirklees Healthy College Standard, said: “NEW College has already carried out a lot of groundwork, and I’m looking forward to see it progress even further.”
