A TEENAGER was attacked with a crowbar outside a Castleford nightclub.
The 18-year-old, from the town, was with his girlfriend outside the Mansion club, on Station Road, between 3am and 3.30am on Saturday April 20, when they were shouted at by men in a nearby dark coloured car.
The girlfriend replied but one of the
men is then alleged to have got out and punched the 18-year-old.
Another man then got out of the car and hit him across the face with a crow bar, before both men fled the scene in the car.
The teenager was taken to Pontefract General Infirmary with facial injuries.
The first attacker is described as white, of medium build, with short hair and wearing dark clothing.
The second attacker, who was carrying the crowbar, was also white and of medium build and both are thought to be aged between their late teens and late 20s.
PC Ian Bell of Castleford police, said: "This was a particularly nasty, unprovoked attack and is a serious incident of the type we are trying to eradicate from town centres.
"Anyone who saw the suspects, the vehicle parked nearby earlier in the evening, or saw all or part of its registration should contact us as soon as possible."
Anyone who saw the incident or has information should contact PC Bell at the Castleford neighbourhood policing team on 01924 206205.
