WOMEN who take part in Pontefract Prince of Wales Hospice's summer Starlight Walk will step out with torches to light their way.
The women-only sponsored walk gets underway at midnight on Saturday July 5 and torches for the event will be supplied by Superdrug.

Kerri Walker, Superdrug administration clerk, said: “I am looking forward to taking part in the Starlight Walk with my mum and delighted to be helping the hospice.”

The circular walk will start at Castleford’s Junction 32 shopping outlet and walkers have the choice of completing one or two laps of the six-and-a-half-mile course around Glass Houghton and Castleford.

Registered walkers will receive training advice, sponsorship forms and a special t-shirt to wear on the night. Goody bags will be handed out at the start and there will be a pre-walk warm up aerobics session. Finishers will receive a medal and free breakfast.

Entry costs £10 and there will be no registration on the night, so anyone interested in taking part should contact the hospice fundraising department on 01977 781477 or download an entry form from www.pwh.org.uk/starlightwalk .

Walkers must be aged 14 or over and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Volunteers are also needed to help on the night. For more information contact the hospice fundraising department.
