Police appeal after village burglary spate

POLICE have appealed for information after a spate of burglaries in Badsworth.
Detectives have received reports of seven crimes which took place in the village on Saturday February 28. Thieves broke into a garage on Thorpe Lane and stole a chainsaw and petrol can on the same night as another six buildings were attacked – but nothing else stolen.

Sheds and garages on Back Lane, Main Street and New Row were broken into but the thieves left empty-handed. Anyone with information should contact Pontefract CID via 0845 6060606.
