TECHNO-savvy youngsters at Pontefract's Willow Park Junior School can surf the web thanks to a new computer suite.
The Harewood Avenue school has 30 new PCs in its newly-refurbished facility – which means pupils no longer have to share computers in lessons. Pontefract and Castleford MP Yvette Cooper officially opened the suite – which is open to pupils every lunchtime – last Friday.

She said: “The new computers are fantastic and it was great to see the children really making use of the lunchtime club. They love the new suite and it was good to hear what their favourite websites are. With so many educational tools now online, it’s really important that children have access to the internet.”
