ADRENALINE addicts who enjoy pushing life to the limit can sign up to tackle the world's most extreme survival course.
Daredevils in the Ponty Manly Miners team are rallying adventure enthusiasts to join them as they take on the dangerous Tough Guy assault challenge in June.

The 26-strong squad of thrill-seekers claimed second place in last year’s contest – a punishing ten-mile course of hills, swamps, walls of fire and a military-style obstacle field.

Founding member Tom Grindel, of Station Road, Ackworth, said: “We have assembled a solid looking squad for what promises to be the hardest Tough Guy yet.

“This year we want to beat our second place success to be champions.

“Two new members have joined us but we would welcome anybody wanting to take on the challenge.

“We are also raising cash for charity through sponsorship and appealing for donations.”

The Miners will begin training for Tough Guy – which takes place in Wolverhampton – around the Five Towns this month.
