Celebration time for Tigers

TOWNVILLE Tigers under 12s celebrated a highly successful season in the West Riding Junior Premier League at their presentation night.
The presentation was attended by Castleford Tigers stars Craig Huby and Mark Leafa who handed out the trophies.
Townville reached the Yorkshire Cup quarter finals and West Riding League Challenge Cup final.
They also look destined to finish in the top four in the table. They failed to beat just one team in the weekly rounds.
The entire squad each received a trophy for their efforts throughout the season.
The playing squad was joint captains Antony Watts and Lewis Astbury, forwards Joel Whipp, Danny Armstrong, Josh Handford, Lloyd Goodwin, Josh Bennett and Jack Copley and backs Sean Gee, Will Kennett, Rhys Langton, Kieron Middleton, Ben Addle, Andy Gee and George Riley.
Special awards were presented to best back Will Kennett, best forward Antony Watts, most improved player George Riley, players' player Sean Gee and coach's player Lewis Astbury.
Captain Antony Watts thanked the coaches for their efforts and patience in training the team to a successful season.
All the players thanked parents for their support and help. Townville are also grateful to kit sponsors Scorpio Media and Astbury Joinery.
Townville are looking to strengthen for next season. Training is on Mondays and Thursdays (5.45pm) at Townville WMC, Poplar Avenue.
