BYRON Cooper won the man of steel award at Featherstone Lions open-age side's presentation night.
Cooper had an outstanding season with Lions in the Summer Conference League.
He is pictured receiving his award from Karen Cooper, of Lions sponsors Crystal Paint and Parts, of Pontefract.
The most improved player award went to Mark Richardson who slotted in extremely well after being out of the game for several years.
Eighteen-year-old Richard Frankland won the Walt Tennant young player trophy. Frankland, who missed the previous season's Grand Final play-off victory because of a broken leg, was in excellent form last season after switching from the wing to stand-off.
Players' player of the year award winner Kris Smith had an outstanding season despite being hampered by injuries.
Lions thanked all their sponsors especially main sponsors Rackham House Floors, Linpac plastics, John Taylor care homes and Crystal Paint and Parts.
