TOWNVILLE seconds were well beaten by Stanley in the CYL's Barry Winstanley Cup Final.
Batting first in Sunday's showdown, played at Townville's Poplar Avenue base, the First Division title favourites piled up a mammoth 278-5 from 50 overs.
The damage was done by opening pair Rahul Bakshi and Phil Page, who put on 203 for the first wicket. Bakshi fell four runs short of his century but Page cracked 110. Naveed Bhatti made 44 not out to leave Townville an uphill task.
Openers Steve Walton and Adam Fox hit 20 apiece and Jack Hughes (69) and Adrian Knight put on 88 for the third wicket to take the reply to 153-2.
But Knight's dismissal for 41 sparked a collapse, with man of the match Page leading the rout to finish with 4-28 from seven overs.
Steve Bloomfield chipped in with two wickets in two overs to help limit the reply to 184-8.
