GLASSHOUGHTON Welfare under-10s produced their best display of the campaign to beat Kippax 6-0.
Owen McCluskey bagged his first hat-trick for the club, man of the match Hayden Stringer (twice) and Nathan Keightley got the others.
Keeper James Crowther was well shielded by defensive duo James Booth and Reece Horn.
Kippax, fielding several first-teamers, won the second game 4-3. Ryan Jackson netted twice for the home side, only for the visitors to take a 3-2 lead. Brad Bellwood's hard work paid off with a goal and Glasshoughton looked to be getting on top until a late lapse enabled Kippax to snatch it. The tireless Jacob Patridge starred for the Cas side.
Dynamos Yellows beat Monk Fryston 7-0 in a Selby League clash.
Winger Calum Turner nabbed a hat-trick, striker Brandon Perry netted twice and Ashley Lewis, who produced a sensational display on the wing, and Jack Close got a goal each. Turner was man of the match.
Brad Poppleton was the star of the second game, which Dynamos lost 2-0. Defender Brad McDonald and striker Taylor Kelsey also caught the eye.
Cas Dynamos Reds won 4-0 at Shadwell United under-10s to claim top spot in the Garforth League. An own-goal and goals from winger Close, Perry and Lewis Moss did the trick. Captain Elliot Jones was man of the match. Charles Peacock was excellent in defence, keeper Ben Lewis made some superb stops and Ash Lewis was tireless.
Dynamos Blues won the second game 10-2, with captain and man of the match Jack Render getting half his side's goals. Winger Turner netted twice and Lewis Drury, Cameron Worsley and Sam Sherrington also got in on the act.
Pontefract Pumas under-10s slammed Altofts 7-1 with a free-flowing display of football.
With the composed distribution of Jimmy Beckett and Jake Tonkinson a feature, they ran riot, with man of the match Owen McCluskey netting five goals. Callum Brain powered home a bullet-header and Jordan Brown also hit the target. Joe Threlfall was out of luck.
Luke Hargreaves hit a hat-trick as Ponte' Cubs ran out 5-1 winners. Jake Gaskell set up Lewis Schofield to score and Dillon Muggleton completed the rout. Morgan Farrar and commanding man of the match Jack Hinchcliffe had superb games. George Shelton gave his all.
